Artist's Comments
Although this one was originally inspired by B.Pascal (in his 'Pensées' he writes about the two kinds of infinities where human beings are defined by) it has become more of a tribute to Immanuel Kant (1724-1804, i think). Somewhere in the prologue to the Critique of Pure Reason he says that there are two things that fascinate him: the endless sky filled with stars above him and moral law inside of him...
it's one of the few poetic moments in the work of Kant  Stars seem to make us wonder about the whole of things, the meaning of our own little lives in this immense universe and how it all fits together in the end. |
